King & Moffatt invited An Garda Siochana to the Carrick-on-Shannon office to raise awareness around safe use of our roads.
This year we have seen an increase in road fatalities on the same time last year, with 99 fatalities reported on Irish roads at present. As we are all road users in one way or another, it’s so important to continue to raise awareness so that we can all do more to ensure we have safer roads.
The main focus of the presentation was to raise awareness on driving while intoxicated, using mobile phones when driving and other hazards drivers face on a daily basis.
Peter from CD Commercial Vehicle & Service Repair demonstrated vehicle safety checks we should all be completing before taking a journey. The demonstration included how to change a tire, check the cars oil and checking the tires depth.
