King and Moffatt Building Services were responsible for the complete electrical installation of the new 5,500 sq m secondary school in Tullamore. The school was designed as a low energy research project to test and study methods of improving the environmental performance of school buildings.
It is the only secondary school in Ireland to achieve an “A2” energy rating. The school consists of classrooms, science labs, engineering workshops sports hall, external play areas / surfaces, resource rooms, general-purpose rooms and offices.
