Designed to drive innovation and support local industry, the new King & Moffatt Innovation and Technology Hub, which represents a €600,000 investment by the company, will serve as a central hub for Engineering, Design, and Technology solutions. Featuring collaborative workspaces, an advanced immersive BIM facility, and cutting-edge technology, the facility will enable King & Moffatt to meet the growing demands of clients both in Ireland and internationally.
Strategic Investment in Ireland’s Engineering and Technology Sectors
This latest investment will directly contribute to King & Moffatt’s continued growth, enabling the company to support complex projects in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and energy. The Innovation and Technology Hub will create many new job opportunities, expanding King & Moffatt’s current workforce of 500 employees in areas such as Project Management, Engineering, IT, and Digital Solutions. These roles will enhance King & Moffatt’s capability to deliver specialized MEP services, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Smart Building Systems, Controls & Automation, and 3D BIM Modelling, which are critical in today’s competitive construction landscape.
The facility was also designed with sustainability in mind, integrating energy-efficient systems and smart technology to reduce the building’s carbon footprint. This aligns with King & Moffatt’s mission to deliver environmentally responsible solutions to clients while championing sustainable practices within the industry.
Driving international growth
In addition to local job creation, the Innovation and Technology Hub will contribute to the King & Moffatt’s group’s expansion internationally by attracting skilled professionals to the business and providing opportunities for ongoing professional development. King & Moffatt will work closely with third-level institutions, offering placements and training programs for graduates in engineering, construction management, and digital technologies.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Brendan Sweeney, Co Group CEO of King & Moffatt, said:
“Today marks a proud moment for King & Moffatt as we launch our new Innovation and Technology Hub. This facility underscores our commitment to progressing as a company. Looking to the future we do not intend to stand still; we have ambitious growth plans across the current regions we operate in and also expanding into other regions. We believe that our ambition to reach a half-billion turnover by 2030 will be achieved through three core pillars: Our People, Technology and Innovation, and Offsite Prefabrication.”
As the company continues its expansion into new markets across Europe and North America, the Innovation and Technology Hub will serve as a base for project coordination and collaboration with King & Moffatt’s international teams. By leveraging advanced tools such as BIM modelling, real-time collaboration platforms, OpenSpace, VR, AR, ACC, Digital Twins, and a leading-edge ERP system the facility will enhance the company’s ability to manage large-scale projects and provide clients with efficient, cost-effective solutions.
This new chapter in King & Moffatt’s journey reflects the company’s enduring commitment to innovation, quality, and community.
