We are currently recruiting for the following positions in the UK:

Quantity Surveyor (UK)

Due to growth and expansion we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor required to join one of the UK’s fastest growing M&E Building Services companies with offices located in Birmingham and Stoke on Trent but with sites all over the UK.

King & Moffatt has successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects in the UK, Ireland & multiple locations in Europe. This Quantity Surveyor role is joining an experienced team in a very fast paced environment. We pride ourselves on being a full building services solutions provider.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review construction information (Contract Documents)
• Review and understand tender information and tender BOQ.
• Prepare Cost Plans in-line with Commercial SOP.
• Report on Cost Plans monthly internally, highlighting any potential issues.
• Procure all major supplier and sub-contractor packages in-line with Commercial SOP.
• Prepare & Submit Monthly Interim Valuations to the client in-line with Commercial SOP.
• Prepare & Submit Monthly Variations as they arise to the client in-line with Commercial SOP.
• Prepare/ Submit Sub-Contract documents to Sub-Contractors in-line with Commercial SOP.
• Issue all Main Contract Documents / Collateral Warranties up the line for review.
• Track Labour hours on each project using the Donseed system (where possible) and highlight any potential issues.
• Audit Sub-Contractor applications for payment (Valuations) and prepare pay-less notices in-line with the Commercial SOP.
• Upload Sub-Contractor Variation to the ERP System and audit sub-contractor variations monthly in-line with the Commercial SOP.
• Review Site Programmes regularly with respect to delays, disruption, and programme
• Attend internal and external commercial meetings as required.
• Respond to all letters in a fitting and contractual manner to ensure the company’s position is always protected.
• Maintain K&M Document Management System in-line with the Commercial SOP & The Latest Filing Reference Guide
• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 3 years QS or other relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree Level in Quantity Surveying or similar Discipline.

Senior Mechanical Estimator (UK)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator required to join one of the UK’s fastest growing M&E Building Services companies with an office located in Stoke on Trent but with sites all over the UK.
King and Moffatt has successfully delivered multiple large scale projects in the UK, Ireland & multiple locations in Europe. This Senior Mechanical Estimator role is joining an experienced team in a very fast paced environment. We pride ourselves on being a full building services solutions provider.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure Tender folder is correctly maintained.
• Read all tender documents before an estimate is started, and ensure any discrepancies between spec / drawings / tender summary are picked up.
• Record and submit all RFI’s in the correct documentation.
• Prepare estimate in line with exact tender summary provided.
• Review tender.
• List any assumptions, clarifications, VE and conditions etc.
• Submit tender and update SharePoint with all costs.
• Record details on K&M Management system.
• Follow up tender and record on SharePoint.
• Attend and participate in Departmental Company & External Meetings
• Keep up to date with industry standards.
• Develop your skills in line with agreed training plan

Trainee Mechanical Estimator (UK)

King and Moffatt has a vast portfolio of projects in the following sectors: industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, food processing, logistics distribution centres.

Electrical Contracts Manager (UK)

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager required to join one of the UK’s fastest growing M&E Building Services companies with an office located in Stoke on Trent but with sites all over the UK.

This Electrical Contracts Manager role is joining an experienced team in a very fast paced environment. We pride ourselves on being a full building services solutions provider.
King and Moffatt has a vast portfolio of projects in the following sectors: industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, food processing, logistics distribution centres.
Ultimate responsibility for the delivery of their projects in line with K&M policies, procedures, EHSQ and financial targets. This role reports to the Operations Manager or Operations Director and is both office and site based as site rotation is necessary to support project requirements. Liaise daily with the Client, Project Manager, QS, EHSQ, Design and Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attend tender handover and project start up meetings.
• Become familiar with all details and specifications of the contract.
• Set up for each project an email distribution list.
• Ensure full team understand role with regards the project and manage team and any issues.
• Setting out key dates Program – develop and produce the program.
• Raising RFI’s, Lead final design.
• Issue technical submittals and follow through to approval.
• Ensure all large ticket items are procured and delivered in line with program.
• Budget -ultimately responsible for managing budget. Work closely with the QS.
• Breakout labour only packages and specialists’ packages
• All aspects of the cost plan
• Sets out and manage labour tracker.
• Attend site weekly to monitor progress and quality.
• Ensure the progress report is updated weekly. Populate monthly high-level report for monthly Senior Mgt review.

Electrical Tester (Ireland)

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Tester required to join one of Ireland’s fastest growing M&E Building Services companies located with the head office located in Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim. King & Moffatt has successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects in Ireland, the UK & multiple locations in Europe. This Electrical Tester role is joining an experienced team in a very fast paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Test electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using appropriate tools and record and report on all works. Sign Electrical Installation certs.
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown.
· Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
· Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
· Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
· Maintain current electricians license or identification card to meet governmental regulations, keeping up to date with regulations and sharing update information with colleagues.
· Use a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment. Ensure equipment is in date and calibrated.
· Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.
· Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs carry out testing.
· Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.

Electrician (Midlands & Dublin)

King & Moffatt has successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects in Ireland, the UK & multiple locations in Europe. We pride ourselves on being a full building services solutions provider. We are looking for an experienced Electrician for roles in the Midlands and Dublin all site based.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
· Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
· Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
· Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

· Use a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment.

· Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.

BIM360 Document Controller (Ireland)

This role primary function is to develop and maintain a documentation management system to coordinate and manage all documentation required to support operations and all projects across the BIM360 integration project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with K&M team on the creation of a BIM360 Document Management Policy
  • Managing the BIM360 Portfolio including Projects, Files, Folders, Members, Workflows. etc.
  • Becoming a BIM360 Champion working with reseller to set up, develop and maintain the BIM360 system.
  • Resolving technical issues through research and troubleshooting including working with our Autodesk reseller.
  • Develop and deploy training program as and when required internally to staff.
  • Attending virtual catchups with Autodesk and Reseller on Product updates, keep up to date with new features and pass on feature requests from within the business.
  • Managing the BIM360 Docs, Design, Coordination and Build Interfaces on a day-to-day basis alongside our design and construction teams.
  • Using the ISO19650 workflows on active and tendering projects.
  • Working with other integrated applications.
  • Ensure that the benefits of the software suite are realised in the business.
  • Ensure and oversee compliance with all EHSQ policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree qualification in an engineering or construction discipline
  • Extensive BIM360 experience is essential, previous involvement in the rollout of BIM360 would be a significant advantage.
  • 2-3 years industry experience essential in the Architectural, Construction or Building Services industries.
  • Experience with Autodesk products (Revit) or other relevant products an advantage
  • Strong communication and customer care skills
  • Power BI and Data An is an advantage.
  • Document/ Design Management system experience is important.
  • ISO 19650 understanding is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on your own initiative to meet project deadlines

TRAVEL

Some travel may be required. Expectation is that this would not exceed 40% of total working time on average.
